Remember to sign your child's agenda each night. This is a great way to keep track of assignments and upcoming assessments. This is also very helpful for communication between the teacher and parents.
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe in a child-centered approach to education. Since the parents are the child’s first teacher, I feel that it is extremely important to create an environment in which the teacher, the parents, and the student all work together. Having the involvement of all three parties makes a difference in the child’s path to college and career readiness. Communication is essential between the teacher and the parents as they work together to encourage the child to reach their full potential. My classroom is an environment that fosters mutual respect between all students and myself. The opinions and voices of all students are heard. On a daily basis, I strive to model my work ethic and values to create independent thinkers out of each individual student. By challenging each boy and girl with real-world experiences, students are continuing their preparation for the future. In my few years of experience, may things have already changed including the standards, assessment methods, and my teaching philosophy. However, one thing that will never change is that I will always continue to create a safe and loving classroom environment where my students are actively and personally engaged in the learning.
